“Color is like music to my ears.”
Kathy is a native of California. After many years of travel and living at different locations while her husband was in the Navy, she and her husband settled in the Heritage Valley and she began to study art classes at Ventura College.
She enjoys working with oils because of their richness and substance and also enjoys acrylics because they are a fast drying medium.
athy is often inspired by nature and known for her colors and meditative paintings. Her tree paintings represent their ability to stand the passage of time and how they adapt to nature’s whims much as in life’s challenges.
Her paintings are a visual communication through unspoken words upon which people can reflect.
In addition to her impressionist landscapes, she enjoys figurative painting and life drawing.
