Photographer David Rivas wants his audience to participate in the creative process by interpreting a personal meaning for the abstract images he has created with his camera. Every photograph is a sensory experience for your eyes as it presents you with a puzzle.
What is it?
Rivas has enlarged all his photographs from 35mm Kodak negatives. He did not employ any computer magic to print these unusual abstractions just the magic of light exposed on film and his imaginative vision. What do you see?
Rivas gets his inspiration when he sees a flare of light reflecting off the surface of some object or when he sees some unique pattern in contrast to its surrounding. He experiments with vantage points, framing
and lighting to create a unique vision of his reality.
